I’m out on the field and to myself I say,
All my troubles are gone they’ve drifted away.
Tonight the field is not for football you see,
I’m in the marching band and as proud as can be.
I’m playing here on this brisk night,
And finals is even in sight.
While I’m out there playing,
I don’t even think about failing.
As we start nearing the end,
I think of all these people that I call friend.
After were done I’m greatly excited,
And the crowd seems to be immensely delighted.
Everyone thinks we did very well,
And everyone is happy, as far as I can tell.
Now after it’s all said and done,
No matter what I can say I had fun.

I've played clarinet for 6 years, so I know how that feels. The cool summer night's air blowing your plumes to one direction or the other. Oh, marching season! I love it! Great writing. It's so cool. Keep writing! =)

Hey cool. I know what you mean, I just finished my freshman marching season and it was great. Some of this doesn't quite rhyme, but I know how hard rhyming poems are :)
