The Inside

If only I had one more time,
One last chance to say goodbye.
Every feeling inside this beaten up soul,
Has to let go and be told

The night I found out you left,
I didn’t know how to rest.
With every word aching to be heard,
But my muscles lay frozen in confusion.

Over ten long drawn-out years,
My heart begs to come clean.
The words I needed to say,
Are I think about you everyday.
