"Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it."
-Robert Frost

You abandoned me,
Told me you would always be here.
Another one of the promises you couldn’t keep.
Tonight might just be one of the loneliest I’ve ever endured.
Without your arms to shield me from midnight’s draft,
Or your monotone to blanket these fearful thoughts
That dance their way into my head before sleep relieves my restless mind.
What am I to do now that you’re gone?
You left with every part of me, and all that remains is this empty feeling.
I think that’s the only thing here to stay.
I loved you, and despite everything I think you loved me, too.
In order to regain my sense of self, I have to move on.
And now for you, first love,
I vow to make this the last tear I ever cry,
And the last line I ever write.
