She laughs as the snow comes spiraling down to earth
She catches them on her tongue, to test their worth.
Her older brothers start a snowball fight
She laughs at their soaking mitten’s plight.
Making snow angels and giant snowmen,
Winning the great snow battle,
Then,
Trouping inside they all retire
For Mother’s hot chocolate round the crackling fire.
A brief thawing – out, the mittens are dry.
And outdoors again like mad- birds they fly.
Out for more battles, building and play
The occasion – its the first snow day!

This poem has such a jolly, cheerful tone to it. I really enjoyed reading this. Excellent work, very well written. I really, really liked this.
