Leaving: A Tribute to Vincent Mansfield

I knew that you were leaving,
And that very soon you would be gone.
I just didn't know
How soon it would come.
And then you left,
But I never got to really
Say goodbye.
So I love you
And I miss you.
I just wish
We'd had more time.
But I will go on.
I will to continue to live
With my grief and loss.
But I will forever care
For your rose.
