"Yet ah! why should they know their fate?
Since sorrow never comes too late,
And happiness too swiftly flies.
Thought would destroy their paradise.
No more; where ignorance is bliss,
'Tis folly to be wise." - Thomas Gray, exerpt from 'An Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard'

You left me here,
in the boat of your dreams,
on the sea of fading memories.
Here I am, alone at last,
and all I taste is dust.

The ancient dust of day-old hopes.
These hopes were not my own,
but they were your's
that you couldn't fulfill.
So I did, and now I'm done.

Done with life;
finished with caring.
I've given up my wishes.
I tryed so hard
to be what you wanted.
I succeeded; I followed your mission.

But here I am.
And I've lost myself.
No more life to lead my own.
Your boat does leak,
and I'm sinking now
into memories and dust.
