I tried to scream,
I tried to call,
But no one enters through these walls,
I tried to run,
I tried to hide,
But no one finds the truth inside,
so now I watch th clock instead,
Five more minutes till I'm dead,
I'm sitting in a cubby hole,
Big enough for me, and me alone,
The doctors say it wont be long,
Even though I pray there wrong,
My heart beats slow,
I'm loosing my breath,
I can't tell time,
But I know what's left,
I tried to run,
I tried to hide,
But no one finds the truth inside,
I tried to scream,
I tried to fight,
But I can't control what's wrong and right,
This life was not how I thought it would be,
I thought there was room for little old me,
But I've lived five whole years
And I know I shouldn't cry any tears.

The author's comments:
I had a flash back of when I went to this little boy's funeral who was only four or five years old.
and it made me wonder how he felt to know that he wouldn't live very long.
