Take me down from the shelf.
Open my back and put in new batteries.
Program me to do what you want:
Clean.
Sleep.
Listen.
Obey.
But never speak.
If I were to speak for myself,
You would remove my batteries
And throw me away;
Never to look my way again.
There in that can
I will rust away.
Only when my circuits are bare,
Will you dispose of me properly.
