Every death is tragic
Filled with some voodoo magic
Lay beside me
And watch the sun set
On our broken
Civilization
All is lost
And all this time
I spent grasping your love
Means nothing to a
Carbon footprint
Or fallout shadow
Every war needs publicity
To keep us aware of killings
And responses to the atrocities?
Feign surprise and
Pray for our broken
Civilization
And what kind of message
Are you giving
With the peoples' media
So lay beside me
And watch the sun set
For the last time
