"I cannot live without my life, I cannot live without my soul!" -Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights

You killed a part of me.
But I kept walking.
You made me embrace my own darkness.
But I kept walking.
You made me curl into a ball at night and cry myself to sleep.
But I kept walking.
You haunted my dreams with your smile, your eyes, your voice.
But I kept walking.
I realized that I had lost something forever, and I cannot get it back. My dreams of love were gone like the birds that perched on my family's backyard fence.
But I kept walking.
My friends were there, but I could not see them.
But I kept on walking.
My parents waited in the wings, waiting for me to release this heartache.
But I kept walking.
I was tired of walking. I wanted to find peace and rest.
But I kept walking.
Then I found my way again, and put up my feet to rest as I stopped walking.

This was when I was disappointed in love. I really thought I loved him, and it turned out to be very different. It really affected me, so I just had to spill my guts in writing.
