Up on the highest shelf
Hiding my feelings
From even myself
Never to be seen
By mortal eyes
I’ll safely tuck away
Those painful goodbyes
With a heart full of sorrow
And days full of regret
I feel the pull to move on
But you’re so hard to forget
Oh, the memories
Of nights gone by
Wasted time I must remember
Everything was a lie
And so human eyes
Will never behold
And our story will never
Again be told
