Too much isn't enough.

If I manage to moan, creeping out of the shades
I lock my voice into day after day, certainly it won’t last long
For the lights always die, sparks always fly away

Wishing well to reach deliverance, I refuse to come undone
Why kill the fire prematurely, not let it breed to catch up with me?
To think an instant I shall whisper, lets me survive through the night

Victim of my ego, can’t survive through my tempest
Victim of my self, won’t let you break the ice
Victim of my all, will you know how to rescue me
When daylight peaks in my life once more?

Sinking by the inch in this abyss, darkness incapacitating my vision
I struggle to keep eyes wide open, and ignore the throbbing hurt
A luring brightness encourages sight, but leaves an empty mind placid

The verdict echoes in my head, condemned to crawl not walk
Although if lies didn’t revolve in my head, would I dare to stand?
Impose my figure and take a stance, in a world in which I believed in hope

Victim of my ego, can’t survive through my tempest
Victim of my self, won’t let you break the ice
Victim of my all, will you know how to rescue me
When the day peaks again in my life?

How will I save myself?

this is a mix of some really good images and some failing cliches, but i liked it, and i absolutely loved the third to last stanza, the one starting with "the verdict" i'm not even sure why it just really hit me in a way
