This place is a small place
With tiny windows in tiny frames
That mirror the streets with the eyes of a killer
And a heart full of pain

This place is a small place
With a single door
Gray as the haze
That comes from behind
Its crowded hallways
And greasy knobs

This place is a small place
With four white walls
Where you see your face
Reflected in others
And you think in vain
You might be safe

This place isn’t small anymore
It’s big, tall
Full of words
That I can’t say
Because the language of trust
Is lost on us.

wow this is really good! I can't believe I found this by accident because our poems have the same names; maybe you could check out mine sometime :) keep up the good writing, I really enjoyed reading it and the excellent imagery- fantastic job!
