What is power?
It is a mighty tree.
Standing tall, for so long.
A mesh of green and brown.
Finally giving in,
He becomes nothing more
Than a memory.
Power is a relentless word.
Is a frightening word.
Power is corruption.
Is evil disguised as greatness.
Power
Is nothing more than a facade
Used to disguise and transform
The cowardly.
Power is an excuse
To do what you will.
But it is also an excuse
To do what others
Won't

interesting metaphors, i got lost a little bit, in a good way, it made me think.
It's strongly worded but it treads nicely on the ears if you get what I mean,
