Life is my medium
Vivid color splashed against a far-off horizon
Full of me,
Or at least what I profess to be
Can it really last?
Or should I instead color it with the dull browns that define me
The me that doesn’t show
Can I live under this shield?
This fake reality that I’ve lied myself into?
I certainly hope so
For the real me isn’t worth the paint
