Crisp, autumn leaves
Parched
Just like our adolescence

A dip in the fountain of youth
Would be no use
Simply splashing in these fallen crimson leaves
Will suffice

But even with our veils of foliage,
We cannot camouflage our true age

It will take many miles
And just as many years
Until we can finally flourish
Much like the tree that bore these leaves
