A self destroying beauty.
A twisted sense of fate.
A never ending game.
A cat and mouse chase.
A day consumed by tears,
Leaves you longing for goodnight.

In your dreams you dance among the stars,
You frolic beneath the trees.
You find you’re place of happy days.
You laugh, you love, you learn to sing.
Oh you wish these dreams would never end.
This world, a magic place.
With dawn approaching, you feel reality.
And can’t help to think it’s a trap.

Demons surround you.
Loneliness engulfs you.
A rush of vile emotions.
You need an escape, an exit door,
But can’t find one in town.
With all the pressure, all the pain.
Your world comes crashing down.

Oh how you wish to return to the nights in the sun.
Those amazing days where you belong.
A feeling approaches, enlightenment.
A way to get to those days.
“I’ll sleep forever!” You tell yourself.
It’s as simple as can be.
That magic place of joy and wonder
Is calling out your name.
“It’s too good to be true..” You reconsider.
You’re self inflicted fate.

A self destroying beauty.
A twisted sense of fate.
A never ending game.
A cat and mouse chase.
A day consumed by tears,
Leaves you longing for goodbye.
