I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I have this fantasy that still haunts me
Your fast car comin’ down the drive
I get this false sense of security
That makes me want to run and hide
Hide away with you
Throwin’ rocks at my window to take us back
And saying I love you
But then I wake up, and then you add one more crack,
One more crack in my soul, because there is no me and you
There is no you and I
Because of the I would wake up and cry
And you told me forever
You crossed your heart and hoped to die
Do you remember?
Now I am stuck in this fight
This civil war in my heart
Between what’s wrong and what’s right
Moving on would only be smart
I’ve got this one life
And you showed me it’s not with you
Its time to take out that knife
This is not the first time, this is nothing knew
That same old feeling of loneliness
It’s been two months since you said goodbye
But all I have been is blessed
And there are no more tears to cry.

I wrote this because writing is a therapy for me and having gone through a hard break up, this is the result of being hurt.
