Your Poem

November 11, 2009
By Anonymous

If you were
a poem,
I would
memorize your
words,
count the lines,
laugh at
every joke,
cry at every crisis,
read it
a billion times,
until the paper was
sweaty and
crumpled.

But I already…
Memorize our
conversations,
count the steps you take
when
you walk
away,
laugh at
every joke
you say, cry
at every obstacle you encounter,
display your face
in my head
a billion times,
until my heart is
broken and
crumbled.
