i picked a dream

By , ottawa, Canada
it's apple season
now
won't you
come
pick apples with
me?
the sun is
shining
the sky is
blue
the clouds are
lovely
and so are
you
so won't you
come
do some living with
me?
there's a break in the
fence
so the apples are
free
i have a
basket
and we can
kiss
in the shade of the
trees
then go back
home
and bake a
pie
which we'll eat on the
porch
kissing between each
bite
our fingers
intertwined
and not for a single
second
do we take our
eyes
off of each
other
and behind
us
the blazing sun
sinks
further, slowly
disappearing
rudely taking our
time
with it
and once it's
gone
i'll awaken from
another
dream starring you and go
back
to being
lonely
