I miss the rain

Baby, baby, I miss the rain.
Baby, if only you knew how much I hate to cry
Maybe you'd know how hard I do try.
I miss the warmth, I miss the rain, and baby?
Oh baby, I'm sick of these days.
I miss the sunsets and scraped up knees.
I miss the grass stains and bumble bees.
I miss the late nights and the short days.
I miss being barefoot in the sun's rays.
Maybe these things are just small things, baby.
but to me these small things aren't a maybe.
Baby, for sure, these things heighten my joy
The rain, baby, the rain, just like your voice
Softly hitting my face, the rain, baby.
Love, our further gain, baby.
And baby, if only you knew how much I hate to cry
Maybe you'd know how hard I do try.
I miss the warmth, I miss the rain, and baby?
Oh baby, I'm sick of these days.

This is awesome! I love how you rhyme some parts, and repeat some parts. This is really well written, I'd just suggest you don't use "baby" so much? it seems a bit redundant. Otherwise, I love it!

I know the word baby was overused. I guess that was part of the meaning. I was pleading to him, just begging him to understand how I felt. But thank you. So much,
