I am from Great Escape,
From water slides to roller coasters
I am from camping at the Amvets,
From boating to camp fires.
I’m from Grandma,
From bake ziti to spaghetti.
I’m from friends,
From our good times and bad times.
I am from chocolate chip cookies,
In the oven to my tummy.
I am from Thanksgiving,
From the turkey my uncle cooks
And memories of family,
When we take pictures and talk about old times.
I’m from Christmas,
From presents to family,
From mom, dad, brother, sister,
and grandparents
I am from family
Our memories and pictures
of loved ones.
