The Toddler's Imagination

Morning.
Light seeps through the battered window, like angel wings,
Waking me.
I Sit up
No mom, No dad

Just me
Crowded RV, nothing to do. . .

Ah!
A camera!
A new discovery to the mind of a curious four-year-old
Since yesterday at least.
Thinking. . . Thinking. . . Idea!!

Tip toe off the couch, camera in hand
Across slippery tile floor, over gigantic snoring dog.

To the bed. . .
Quietly open door,

Run!!

Jump!!

Scream!!
“Caitlin smile!!!”
Dazed, my sisters surprised and angry face pops up from the sheets
CLICK!!

A perfect photo of a grumpy older sister. . .
Before the tickle attack
Oh No.

Here she comes.
Bounding after the toddler,
Who is screaming with laughter,
Camera in hand.
