The Dreamers Kiss

I learned to dream these nights away
Away away from me
I learned to hold your memories
Away away from me

And then to my still form body
The night, it bore its kiss
I slipped away from insomnia
And into a lovers bliss

I dreamed the dream of your heart
Still beating next to mine
Mine of holding, longing
For to my heart, time was not kind

I fell into the knowing
Of all that was not true
This mattered not, oh it mattered not
For then I was with you

You placed upon closed eyelids
Imprints of our love
For me to come with you, your ever bid
Such love I was undeserving of

Through my fitful sleep you fleet
Away away with me
Such like the time we danced in the street
Your loving marks were so discrete

And in woeful reminisce
To be lost in what had ceased to exist
I breathed you in
Away away
And such pain, dream began to fade
Much to the dreamers hearts dismay
My face, down you bent to kiss
Oh such was the dreamer’s bliss
Of my tender lovers kiss
Awake I now await

The nightmares laugh
Ended my delicate dream
You drew away
Away away from me

And in waking, wailing, shaking start
My haggard voice cried out
Attempts to still my aching heart
Oh, so the woe of this dreamers heart

My scalding hot tears were arisen
The hearts rampaging, raging beating
Echoed inside framed prison
Such inescapable rampaging raging beating

Away away you are from me
I long for my lovers kiss
I only touch you in my dreams
Oh such dreamers bliss
