Better Places Found Me

He found me in a better place.
I could see him crystal clear.
And when he called out for someone,
It was his voice that I could hear.
I know he hurt, but I hurt worse.
And for once, I had to put myself first.
I watched him mourn, scream, and cry.
Even though I saw it coming,
I didn't think it would be like this,
When I chose to die.
