We were glowing.
And it was beautiful.
Like wood nymphs from tales of old,
We flitted from water to grass.
Giggles left our mouths.
Shh! Don’t be too loud.
There are neighbors.
Feet in the air,
Flapping in the wind.
Hands on the ground,
Hair around our eyes.
Giggles left our mouths.
Shh! Don’t be too loud.

Quiet murmurs,
Is that the water or us?
Our secrets seem so loud.
