I the True Hero

When I went into the war I thought I lost my mind
I heard a bomb go off am I still alive?
I drifted away and started to dream
Stood up tall and knew I had to fight in this war for my country…
Soldiers screaming
Smoke in the air
1 2 3 is this the end for me?
Something is wrong. My chest is bleeding was it the missal or my life retreating?
Life is a mystery and so is war.
You’ll never know what to expect
Till you go off and soar
And now I pay the price
Of being a hero and trying to be nice…..
