A hot shower of stars blindfold my eyes.
Her fingers glide through the ruffled tangles of my hair.
Her vanilla-lace scent fills my nose.
My world, condensed in her arms.
Enveloped in you, I cannot be saved.
My heart lunges for you, but is bound by its cage.
Every last muscle aches with passion.
My conscience is slowly devoured by lust.
The taste of her lips, the comfort of her embrace -
Where love and a new life should begin.
But my insecurities collapse at her feet.
I reject her invitation to become complete.

This is somewhat of a love poem, I think some people can relate to. It speaks about the internal battle between mind and sex. I have another version of this poem that my teacher thinks is better that I can post later. It is much more detailed. Please, any comments or criticism will be appreciated.
