Stones litter the sea like bodies in war
Red and gold as blood and Grecian helmets
Floating in azure waters above the sharks
Someday I want to rescue every pebble
From the foam before the crabs consume them
Every lobster, every anemone is a foe
So are the dolphins our only friends?
The same question haunted the Mycenaeans
