Favorite Quote:
“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see” -Mark Twain

The body submits to

The Fire.

The beast observes

How its victims’ flesh tastes of

Charcoal and

Metallic undertones.

The inferno engulfs

Everything in its path,

Trapping each victim in its

Feverish belly

Throats choke up screams,

Yet not one person is heard.

The walls are falling apart

They cry hot paper tears

Forming drooping piles on

The cold floor,

Which has not yet been subjected to the greedy mouth of

Wood’s enemy.

Destruction transforms into Pain. Pain is molded into Mourning. Mourning dissolves into eternal Indifference.

At least that’s how the Fire feels...

I wrote this on a whim. It is from the perspective of fire, a particularly cruel element which has the power to take lives and cause extreme destruction and suffering.
