Scratch, Scratch, I heard my dog hopelessly

scratching at the door. I felt a cold breeze gather upon me,

as I woke feeling a cold rock on my face.

When I fell asleep it was sunny,

with few clouds in the sky, birds were

chirping to one another.

My dog was wandering the yard, following

wonderful smells that I couldn't imagine, I could hear

him walking around, crunching dry leafs and sticks under his paws.

Now all I can hear is the faint sound

of my dog in the window barking as though

he was trying to tell me something.

The warm rock that I fell asleep on was

now cold and seemed as though it was

a lot harder.

Then feeling the wind wish behind my ears,

it seemed as though the wind was happy, showing

all off its emotions.

It reminded me of waves,

how they would crash againsts

the rocks with a nice boom.

You could not hear that sound again

And then seem like the wave

was gathering itself up again, and

for a moment, just one moment it would be quiet.

So quiet that I could hear myself think

and then just as quickly as that moment came,

it disappeared into itself even faster, making a

different boom

And then, without realizing it

I too disappeared

into my own sleep.
