You have a weight I wish I could take
Off those

shoulders.
So you can dance free for awhile.
You say there's no pressure –
But it's under you.
Darling,
You can't see it.
But sometimes I feel it too.
I wish I could give you my shoes
(to dance in)
give you time
to sleep
and
feel something new.
While I wear yours,
and for once feel
perfection.
