As the world decides
Your time is up
Devastation hits me in the face
Like a boulder
It ends up wrapping itself around me
As if it’s trying to hug me
I look up at the shadowy figure
Hoping it, in reality, is my grandmother
But it’s not
All I see is the same dark figure

The time has finally come
The lonesome casket rest
With my peaceful looking grandmother
Lying on velvet padding

Rivers flow out of my eyes
Evaporating on my burning cheeks
Oh, how I’ll miss her dearly

I wish I could wave a magic wand
To awaken you from your death
But the world doesn’t work in that way
If it did, maybe I could hear your soothing voice again
I would take one more warm hug
I would trade my life for you
But I know you’d want me to stop
With this rubbish and move on with my life
To go on with a smile
A true smile, not a meaningless, fake smile
To cherish the time I have while I still can

As we part I won’t drown myself with sorrow
I’ll continue on the road with a smile not only
Gleaming on my face, but also shining in my heart
