I can’t get this stain
No matter how hard I try
Trying not to be vain
It’s a hard life
Doing Laundry is my only job
Helping to make people a good afterlife
Washing their regrets
Soaking up their pain
Ironing their frets
Drying their tears
Folding and hiding their stains
Putting them away to rid their fears
I’m the Laundress, here to help
