I am in love with him.

Hair of sand and forest eyes,

That fits with skin of the softest silk.

Possessing such an amiable voice,

That can comfort one with distress

During the mightiest storm.

Hands of quality, which rest in mine

On my house’s rooftop, admiring the dawn.

The rays that beam off his lively smile,

and the music of his laugh,

encourages the larks to sing.

His accepting presence, I so enjoy,

It could halt a war with its humble charm.

His hand’s pleasant touch felt on my cheek,

Sends tranquility through my body.

His iris’ pierce mine, and a smile curves

Onto his flawless lips,

And I fall for him all over again.

“What are you looking at?” he spoke with

A slight chuckle. “you’re looking at me

Like a star.”

I smiled at his description, and simply add,

“But you’re more wonderful

than any light in the sky;

The only stars greater than you, are those of fate,

And they are with both of us always.”

And now I lay in bed

With him asleep beside me,

His face so flawless even when resting.

I gaze at the blanket of lights out the window,

And I whisper ever so quietly,

“thank you stars; I don’t know how

I got so lucky."
