Take a moment to try and guess what I am.

I traverse a dimly lit parking lot with my keys threaded through my fingers as though I am wolverine.

I go out in groups, or not at all.

My curfew is sunset, though we all hardly call it safe.

I am asked to make sacrifices in my job someone of same experience will never have to make.

My clothes turn into an invitation to anyone remotely interested in me.

"My body" never seems to mean "my choice."

Speaking my mind has the upmost consequences.

I stay in dangerous situations because there is rarely another option though in the end I'm criticized for staying.

I can be called brave or disgusting for wearing clothes "not suited" for me/my body type.

I am forced to be held accountable for my actions despite what the other party might have done.

"You can't do that" were the biggest part of my vocabulary growing up.

Despite all this; I persist.

What am I?
