Voices fill my head with chaotic thoughts.
My friend being a never-ending authority in my life.
Walking around the grocery store is even a hassle.
She walks beside her, controlling my existence through strife.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.

I want to talk to people without you analyzing my every move.
You make up me and people notice.
Why do I feel like I need you when I don’t?
You traumatize me, manipulate me and make me a poetess.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.

I can walk into my school and feel you watching.
I get home and you make me sit in my room.
Locked away from everything, I shouldn’t feel safe.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.

You show in my shaking hands and stifled tears.
Your thoughts become my own.
I can’t breathe fast enough.
I like when you cry instead of sitting on your usual throne.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.

The air around me is still but soaked with fear.
She’s scared to show her face.
I believe it’s for the best.
With a name like anxiety, she’ll never have grace.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.

I’m living my life now.
I can smile without feeling like a pawn.
She isn’t controlling my life anymore.
All my chaotic thoughts are gone.

Get out of my head.
You cause the most brutal thoughts.
You cause every problem to be bigger than it should be.
Except without you I’m lost.
