A Deeper Look at Laying in Bed Sick

Life lived ludicrous
Bound to the slab of death
Chains slip like snakes between my weary crooks of arms
Bound to this bed
Whips resound in creaking cracks of lightning
Voraciously the carnal hunger
Craving sovereign soil
Anywhere but here
Send me up the frigid fangs of stone
Past the wicked weeping waves
Through the cringing crawling caves
I'll go anywhere
But arms stay twist-tied at my side
Docile dogs in wait of strength
The scared sky oozes in my blinds
If only I could taste the stars
Anywhere but here
Coffin confining
A crypt cuts caverns in my veins
So for now I stay
Lashed to ice-like thoughts
With wintry breath
Someday I'll wring the sheets like ropes
Leave the mattress mildly mangled
Break the prison window's bars
And float in sky to taste the stars
