Why do you hide your face

If you believe in what you say? 

Four little girls in Birmingham-

Innocent, sweet, and kind.

Didn't you even give damn

That shattered families were left behind?

One young boy named Emmitt Till

Tourted, hung, for daring to try 

Speaking to a white woman who wanted him killed.

And later amitted her terrible lie.

A horrible moment in our country's past. 

Bloody Sunday is how it's known.

People were beaten and tear gassed,

As they lay there and suffered alone.

Later, on a fateful day,

In Memphis, Tennessee,

They shot our leader, MLK,

Who wanted us equal and free.

People fought for our rights.

Still you killed with hate.

Have you come to see the light?
