Just one wound was enough to make her go silent
Just one attack was enough worsening her plight
Yet she fought, survived
The endless stabs
The patriarchy made her realise
She was strong enough to incite a rage,
A violence, a unity among millions of Indians
She was a girl
She was raped
She was stabbed brutally
Yet she fought for her honour
What rape of millions of girls couldn’t
The one ferocious rape and murdering of a girl did
Once again all Indians united
Solidarity was established
One for pride of girls
Other for breaking patriarchal norms
It left me wondered what was yet to come
Unity of nation to fight against injustice or
Another era towards an improved nation?
