"And though she be but little, she is fierce."- Shakespeare

It seems like every male that steps through my door

Settles down like he doesn't want to be my neighbor anymore

He wants to be a part of my life and sit on my living room chair

And I sit down beside him because I like that he is there

Then he stops coming home and he never even calls

I feel quite alone and surrounded by these four walls

One day he comes back and packs his suitcase

Leaves the keys on the counter and leaves this old place

I watch from the kitchen window and wave goodbye

Until the next one comes dressed in a suit and a tie

He seems to be sincere and so I open the door

And realize his outside demeanor doesn't match his core

Does my house smell or have I nothing good inside?

Why does every father, uncle, brother come and then leave me behind

I soon learn my lesson that they are all the same

But I, the fool, opened the door and so I am to blame

That's why my house is shutting down, the lights are going out

The paint will peel, the curtains fall, the lock will rust, no doubt

Anyone who rings my heart's bell will remain outside

And I will lay on the kitchen floor until I simply die
