Carrying your heart,
it is really quite a load.
Carrying your heart,
along this long, bumpy road.
Holding your heart,
with all the care in the world.
Holding your heart,
until you and I grow old.
Keeping your heart,
locked deep within mine.
Keeping your heart,
in the darkest of times.
Gripping your heart,
when you make me get mad.
Gripping your heart,
if we're both feeling sad.
I will treasure your heart until the very end of time.
I will treasure your heart, although it was never truly mine.
