Every night, I walk in the light
Of the bright, white moon.
With no one beside me,
To help and guide me
Through these haunting woods.

One night when I was all, all alone
A she-wolf appeared beside me.
It’s pelt of white, with eyes so bright
She weaved her way
Through the trees beside me.

I kept on walking, slowly talking
To my companion of the moon.
I talked through the night,
Showing no signs of fright.
Not wanting my destination to come soon.

Then, without a second thought
She took off in a trot,
Back to the star lit forest.
I smile to the moon
Knowing I will see her again soon.

I have always loved the night time and the woods. It seems peaceful and almost private to me. I also have a fascination with wolves.
