Clean Slate

Dry your eyes,
Hold your head up high.
Tightly grasp the scars of today,
And throw them further away from tomorrow.
Step out into the rain,
And let it trickle down your tender hands.
Hold onto the droplets like they’re the drops of tears drenching your heart.
Then slowly open your wet hands,
And let the tears of your heart blow off of your skin,
As you blow it a kiss goodbye,
And tell it to never return.
Pick up your hands,
They are scarless and clean.
No open wounds,
Just a knew opening of your heart.
Step back inside,
Into a clean slate,
Where you can start over,
And just be you.
