Waking up in a blurry daze,
searching to find the cause,
of an unrecognized sound;
there is none so I pause.

The sound emanates from my left,
it shoves me through the air.
I jolt upwards breathing heavy;
it was just a nightmare.

This was my first time writing structured poetry and it was amazing. I will definitely be writing more Ballad Stanza poems. If you have an suggestions please let me know... I'm pretty new to poetry.
