How quickly we fall, how slowly we stand,
Felt like love when I was holding your hand.
Your lips were a soft breathe pressed against mine,
Whispering secrets of heart and time.
But where did it go, the magic of life
Thought we would never succumb to strife.
Gently we played, In fields of blue grains,
Until our breath was taken away.
How quickly we drop, how slowly we rise,
I saw the love there when I looked in your eyes.
But the magic is gone, no more can it be,
for alas, you no longer belong to me.

Favorite Quote:
Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame,
Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned.
Just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die,
You've got to get up and try.

I think that this is a beautiful poem. You write incredible metaphors which paints a picture in my mind and I love this unique idea of "blue grains," this might be the first break- up poem I actually enjoyed!
