Strawberries are not my favorite fruit
In fact I despise them right down to the root
Their long vines reach out so vibrantly and always twist and turn
The plant is out to trip you, a lesson I have leaned
With their crimson red color they look like a bloody toe
Their seed are a pimply infection of what I do not know
They make a disgusting crunch when their victim takes a bite
They deceive you with their sweet smell, but the taste is never right
To touch they are rough, as if they are trying to scare you away
You better make sure they are fresh; they spoil in just a few days.
