"Every artist was first an amateur." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sweet Little Red Riding Hood
Went skipping down the road to Grandmother's place
And on her way she met a Wolf
Who licked his lips and saw a good meal when he looked at her face.

Sweet Little Red Riding Hood
Had been told not to linger, not to speak to strangers
But the girl was distracted by the flowers at the edge of the wood
And disregarded the danger.

Sweet Little Red Riding Hood
Believed the Wolf wished to be her friend,
To protect her from the darkness of the forest,
But all he wanted was to kill her at the end.

Sweet Little Red Riding Hood
Heeded not the warnings she had been given
And had it not been for the help of a woodcutter,
Today she would not be living.

So learn from Sweet Little Red Riding Hood
Of Wolves in the forest young girls should beware
For unless a woodcutter happens upon you
Not as well as she will you fare.

I just felt like writing about Red Riding Hood in poetry form.
