"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding." -Khalil Gibran

I know my ending is near
For life without you I could not bare
You told me you would love me forever
I never thought our bond would sever
When you said we are no longer together
It wasn't long after my grief set in
When you started seeing other women
People tell me it will make me stronger
But it made me desire to live no longer
My heart is broken beyond repair
Now it only feels despair
I wish you could feel my pain
Because the truth will make you go insane
But lucky for you, you moved on
Without a care that I'm gone
So goodbye forever
Too bad I couldn't recover
I love you
Too bad you don't love me too

The author's comments:
This was written during my stage of grief, after my boyfriend broke up with me and crushed my heart. To the people reading this, never give up on yourself, heartbreaks may be a horrible experience, but time will heal your heart and you will get better. These kinds of grim experiences will make you wiser and stronger over time. You will learn from that kind of experience, and you will gain more knowledge about your emotional self. For me, writing this poem helped me get all my inner despair out of my system.

I am a dove

That was the best poem to describe my break ups, it was so wonderful people could use it in a play.
