He held me close as I still wept,
We knew it couldn't be forever.
He let me go and just like that,
He was gone forever.
I wept while I slept,
I slept while I wept.
The darkness of my heart consumes me.

Remembering back to that summers day,
Oblivious for what was to come our way.
Skipping and laughing, holding hands,
Feeling the heat from the glorious sand.
I shiver at the images that drift 'to my head,
Just thinking of the sun, my face starts turning red.

And then she came, I just knew,
Never again would I see the sky so blue.
She took you by the hand and whispered in your ear,
You looked so shocked, but all the while so sincere.
You smiled at me when I asked what was wrong,
Never had the day seemed so long.
You took me by the hand and whispered in my ear,
I was shocked but you looked so sincere.
'Cursed lovers,' she had said,'Your day will come.'
She made me a deal, so now your time is on a reel.
'Cursed lovers,' she had said, 'Your day will come.'

He held me close as I still wept,
We knew it couldn't be forever.
A pact was made, I had made the deal.
The She Devil was here, the damage was surreal.
The She Devil was here but I begged him to stay,
He smiled at me but it was time to pay.
He let me go and just like that,
He was gone forever.
I wept while I slept,
I slept while I wept.
The darkness of my heart consumes me.

I'm not sure what inspired it. I was given the title 'Cursed Lovers' and after that, verses came flowing to mind. This is a story about a girl who made a deal to save her boyfriend, but the debt she owed was her boyfriend; i.e. after a certain amount of time, the devil who the girl made a pact with, wanted the boyfriend.basically the couple are in love and are cursed.

Beautiful thought process as with your other works. You have a wonderful way to discribe a heart of pain. I like the She Devil, hardly ever see that. The devil always seems to be the man. I like this.
